Christie Wilkins was born in Bryan, Texas to a military family.  She spent most of her life in Greece, France, Germany, Texas, Alabama, New Mexico and Virginia. She grew up in an artistically inclined family and began drawing at an early age.  As a teenager she studied in Germany under Herr Ernst Krupp.  While in high school in Verdun, France she won first place in an art competition with a watercolor painting.  She then moved to Germany where she continued to study and paint.  After a few years off for carreer and parenting duties she resumed painting.  Her emphasis is on still-lifes and landscapes.  She continues to attend workshops and seminars improving her skills.  She teaches several students each week.  She has entered paintings in several local art events and won awards.  Her media is oil. She is a member of several art associations.
